Kathryn’s primary research interests lie in family law generally, however, she has conducted doctrinal research on the non-recognition of Muslim Marriage in England and Wales (see relevant publications). More recently, She has conducted similar research on the issues surrounding marriage registration in Ireland with publications forthcoming on the topic. She intends, along with her colleague Dr Susan Leahy, to conduct empirical research on the issue within the Muslim community in Ireland in 2017-18
